About Phonics!

The phonics project is almost coming to an end!

So i’ll explain what it was about.

We had a choice from 7 different projects, me and a friend worked together on this one and decided to go with challenge number 7.

Challenge 7 was to create a game that would help children learn their phonics, but if it felt to much like a lesson we had to scrap the idea.

It was really fun! I loved painting all the little pictures for the picture cards! I kept the style simple as its aimed at a younger audience.

 

3D Character Model

I haven’t had much experience with 3D modelling and it did take me a while to get used to all the tools in Maya, but once i knew my way around i enjoyed it!

I used image planes to model the character, it does differ from the concept i drew out, once i have a picture of that I’ll compare the two. The main difference will probably be in the skirt not so much in the top Armour.

I still have a lot to learn! But i can do it! I’m determined to do the best i can!

Phonics

Year 2 Games Design is going well! Already on the 3rd project!

The art for this project is pretty simple as its a game aimed at children from the age of 5.

I’ll explain the game in a later post, right now I’m only uploading the art for the game! Its pretty late and i need sleep!

 

Obviously I’ll clean up the paintings once I’m fully done painting all the other. I think i have another 30 more or so too go!
